Marriage family

lost childhood 

white dress death

Fall in love 

a happy ever after

Run wild ride a horse.

Become a great artist 

make beautiful things

Deja vu in a small town

Over and over 

nothing changes 

decomposition 

Idyllic decay

Toxic patriotism 

False history

Fame by name

Lost it all

Made mistakes

I once screamed into the void  to save me from myself

Pools of light and shadow play on the surface

Death lays before me in all its glorious splendor

A husk of wings no longer beating

Colors still vibrant even 

though life has gone dim

The shadows change the light shifts

The moment between death and life

Will it be there when my eyes open again

The sun shines so bright it voids my vision with bursts

The shadows grow long

What was bright grows dim

In the blink of an eye what was is no more
